Atria has a highly experienced team with a proven, long-term track record of success in managing equity, debt and alternative investments.
We operate globally with offices in Mauritius and Zimbabwe and representatives in South Africa and the UK. We are licensed and regulated by the Mauritian Financial Services Commission as a CIS Manager and Investment Adviser (Unrestricted) and the Zimbabwean Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Manager and Investment Advisor.
We seek to achieve meaningful and sustainable investment returns on both an actual and relative basis, targeting returns that reflect our funds’ risk profile. We do this through investing in businesses that have specific advantages versus their peers, are run by exceptional management teams and which meet our strict investment criteria.
Our team has a long track record of investing in our chosen asset classes, through multiple market cycles and fashions. This experience has helped our funds consistently outperform their benchmarks from inception.
Our investment professionals only invest their capital in Atria’s funds, demonstrating their confidence and conviction in the firm’s investment strategies and ensuring their interests are fully aligned with those of the firm’s investors.
WHAT WE DO
We offer a diverse set of funds across asset classes, looking to maximise returns within each fund’s risk parameters.
Our team is based on the ground and comprises individuals who live and were brought up in Africa. Having gained experience in the traditional global financial centres, we now devote our time to sourcing investment opportunities, leveraging our local perspective rather than flying in from international financial hubs for brief visits.
This African perspective has allowed us to build a unique network of contacts across a broad spectrum of organisations from national governments and multi-national subsidiaries to small and medium sized corporates in the region where Atria is represented. It also allows us to transact and administer our funds and other business, even in jurisdictions that are perceived to have difficult operating environments.
In his previous role, our CEO ran one of the most successful African equity funds, increasing funds under management to over USD 400m and winning multiple awards.
